Gary Bimonte died on Wednesday, April 7.  Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, which has 12 locations in the Northeast (in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island), announced his death on the Facebook page of its flagship New Haven location and said the New Haven location would be closed Thursday, April 8. Frank Pepe's Unveils Brand-New Pizza: Here's What's In It New Haven's Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, named the best pizza in the country by The Daily Meal and The Guardian, is debuting a new iteration of its classic coal-fired pies.  Available for a limited time starting Monday, Nov. 30, the eatery known for its crunchy, charred crust will list chicken pesto pizza on its menu at its 12 locations in the Northeast.  The breakout pizza is made with mozzarella cheese, oven-roasted chicken, red peppers, nut-free pesto sauce, grated pecorino romano cheese and olive oil. Kitten Rescued From Dumpster By Firefighters In Area Members of the Warwick Fire Department proved they’re always on call, making a special rescue of a kitten caught in a dumpster. Warwick Fire Capt. Joe Ingui was walking his dog Maya on Tuesday, Aug. 6, when he found a kitten caught in a precarious position outside Warwick Station 2. Officials said that firefighters from the Hooks and Raymond’s station used a strong arm rescue tool to safely remove the distressed kitten from the dumpster without incident, though the curious cat was spooked.
