State Police Issue Alert For Wanted Dutchess Man Know him? New York State Police investigators are attempting to locate a man with ties to the Hudson Valley who was arrested on drug charges last year. An alert was issued by State Police in Wappingers for 31-year-old Carmelo Velez, who was arrested last year for criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was busted with cocaine. Police noted that Velez is known to have ties to Newburgh and the Bronx. As of Wednesday, June 17, no school districts in Putnam County have reported that their budgets failed, while many of the incumbent school board members look likely to maintain their seats. Man Busted Patronizing Prostitute In Fishkill, Police Say A john is facing criminal charges after allegedly soliciting a prostitute in the Hudson Valley. An investigation by New York State Police detectives in Wappingers, in conjunction with the Troop K - which includes Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties - determined that Accord resident Paul Vanleuven, 27, allegedly patronized a prostitute. Vanleuven was arrested last week and charged with third-degree patronizing a prostitute, a misdemeanor. After appearing in court, Vanleuven was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Fishkill Court on July 30.
