Covid-19: Wappingers School Goes Remote After Positive Test Another school in the Hudson Valley was forced to revert back to remote learning after a positive COVID-19 case was confirmed. Acting Schools Superintendent Dwight Bonk issued a letter to parents on Friday, Nov. 6 cautioning that the district was made aware of a person inside the Wappingers Junior High School community tested positive for the virus. Two Nabbed In Wappingers Junior High School Burglary Dutchess County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people for breaking into Wappingers Junior High School and stealing items during a special event on Wednesday, Jan. 3. David M. Borrelli, 36, of Pleasant Valley, and Felicia S. Burnham, 30, Bay Shore in Suffolk County, are facing charges after an investigation following a report of suspicious people and a possible burglary during a school event, said Capt. John Watterson.
