Man Struck, Killed By Car In Wappingers Falls A man was hit and killed by a vehicle while crossing a busy roadway in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Saturday,  June 18 in Wappingers Falls on South Avenue near West Academy Street. The responding officers found Robert English, age 44, of Wappingers Falls, critically injured in the roadway, said Commissioner Charles Ferry, of the Wappingers Falls Police Department. Man, Woman Struck While In Wappingers Falls Crosswalk, Police Say State Police are investigating after a man and woman were struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy roadway in the area. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Village of Wappingers Falls while the two were crossing in a crosswalk on West Main Street at the intersection with West Street, said Wappingers Falls Police Lt.
