ID Released For 25-Year-Old Found Dead In Dutchess Shopping Center A man found dead in the parking lot of an area shopping plaza has been identified. The body of Eric J. Velie III, 25, of Hyde Park, was discovered around 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, July 23 at the Oakridge Plaza in Hyde Park, after officers responded to a report of a man unconscious on the ground, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. When police arrived at the plaza at 960 Violet Ave., they found Velie unconscious and not breathing.  "The male was lying in the corner of the parking lot and was deceased," the chief said.
