The victim, from Wappingers Falls, was killed around 5:54 p.m., Sunday, April 4, during the crash on Route 9 in front of Nine Mall Plaza in the Town of Poughkeepsie, authorities said. It happened on the southbound side around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 in Pleasant Valley just south of Exit 54 (Route 44). An investigation revealed a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter, operated by Jim George, 42, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, was driving north in the southbound lanes and struck a 2017 Subaru Impreza, state police said. The save took place around 12:24 p.m. Wednesday when officers Devin Ludwig and Mark Liebermann responded to the area of Andrews Place, a public highway located in the Village of Wappingers Falls for a report of a male down, said Lt P. Capparelli.
