Hallenbeck was born in Westchester, lived in Orange County, and worked on Long Island. Her death, on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, came after a two-year battle with cancer, according to her obituary. A resident of the town of Newburgh, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. Hallenbeck III and Elizabeth (Burns) Laurie, who was born on July 1, 1980 in Bronxville. Planet Fitness To Open New Location In Area Fitness buffs in the Hudson Valley will soon have a new gym to pump iron.  Planet Fitness is set to open a new location in Orange County in the Big V Town Centre in the Vails Gate part of New Windsor, developers announced. Royal Properties Inc. announced that Planet Fitness has signed a 10-year lease with at least two five-year options to open a 20,769-square-foot gym in the Town Centre on Windsor Highway. “We are excited that Planet Fitness will be joining the growing tenant roster at Big V. The Town of New Windsor Police Department will be increasing their patrol presence in the 5 Corners area of Vails Gate, beginning on Monday, Sept. 24. Police will be working to discourage and monitor for illegal lane usage and other driving violations as part of a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program initiative. Four Injured In Orange County Ambulance Crash Four people were transported to the hospital following a crash between an ambulance and another vehicle in the Town of New Windsor early Friday, according to the New Windsor Police Department. The crash occurred about 4:30 a.m., when a Cornwall ambulance traveling to Orange Regional Medical Center collided with another vehicle in the intersection of 5 Corners in the Vails Gate area in the Town of New Windsor, said Lt.
