Investigation Underway After Discovery Of Dead Man In Poughkeepsie Police are conducting an investigation after a man was found dead inside an area apartment. The unidentified man's body was discovered around 4:36 p.m., Monday, March 2 in the City of Poughkeepsie after police received a 911 call asking for a welfare check. The man was found inside an apartment at 399 Main St., said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark. Additional details were not available.  Police are awaiting the result of a pending autopsy. The investigation is ongoing. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

25-Year-Old Found Dead At Dutchess Shopping Plaza A 25-year-old man was found dead after police received a "man down" call at an area shopping plaza. The incident took place around 8:44 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, when 911 dispatchers received a call for a report of a man down on the ground at the Oakridge Plaza, at 960 Violet Ave., in Hyde Park, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. When officers arrived on the scene they found the man unconscious and not breathing, Benson said. The man was lying in the corner of the parking lot and was dead, he added. The dead man was found in a wooded area adjacent to the Garden Street School in the village of Brewster on Oct.  9, 1995. This unknown individual’s death was ruled a suicide due to self-inflicted wounds found on his wrists. Body Of Young Woman Found Partially Submerged In Wappinger State Police responded to a 911 call for a body found in Wappinger Creek tributary stream accessible from Maloney Road in the town of Wappinger near the Lagrange town line on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
