Hudson Valley Man Found Dead Inside Apartment Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a local man found dead inside his Orange County home. John Gafycz, 57, of Port Jervis, was found dead on Friday after police were contacted to make a wellness check after he was not seen or heard from for an extended period by his neighbors and friends, police said.
