Dutchess Sees Increase In Private Sector Jobs Dutchess and Putnam counties continue to experience strong economic growth, as evidenced in the state Department of Labor’s February 2018 job report.  The Dutchess-Putnam Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) saw a 3.6% increase in private sector job growth in February – the fourth consecutive month of job growth, outpacing growth in the Hudson Valley, New York State and nationwide, according to this report.
