Two Seriously Injured In Multi-Vehicle Area Crash Two people were seriously injured during a multiple-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester that shut down Route 100.  The crash took place around 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, on Route 100 in Twin Knolls in Somers. Somers Fire/EMS responded to the crash and found a four-vehicle crash with numerous patients and heavy damage to two of the vehicles, the department said. One Critically Injured In Chain-Reaction Seven-Vehicle Crash In Area One person was critically injured in a chain-reaction seven-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in Northern Westchester. It happened at about 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 at Whitehall Corners, the intersection of Route 100 and Route 35 in Somers. A preliminary investigation by state police revealed a box truck driven by Dondre Birch, 26, of the Bronx, was traveling west on Route 35 when it crossed the double yellow line and struck vehicle 2, driven by Ted Dimond, 54, of New York City. Three Dutchess Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops More than 30 motorists were busted by New York State Police troopers as law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continue a nationwide crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving. A total of 18 of those charged were from the region: Westchester County On Friday, Oct. 12, State Police from Somers arrested Edwin P. Loja Cabrera, 21, of Ossining, for DWI.
