Suspect Charged In Stabbing During Town Of Poughkeepsie Altercation A verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation has now led to the arrest of a man in the Town of Poughkeepsie for allegedly stabbing his victim, police announced on Thursday, June 6. Officers from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to a Violet Avenue home at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, where there was a report of a domestic incident. The investigation led to the arrest of Poughkeepsie resident Richard Johnson, 29, who allegedly stabbed his victim in the upper abdomen with a knife.
