Orange County resident Gregory Gonzalez, age 56, of Newburgh, was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 10 to two to four years in prison, the maximum permitted under the law. Ulster County resident Katherine Moreira, 40, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 23, after Saugerties Police responded to a call for a domestic in progress at the Skyline Drive Apartments in the Town of Saugerties, said Chief Joseph Sinagra. Poughkeepsie Woman Arrested For Violating Protective Order A Poughkeepsie woman was arrested for violating a protective order after police received a complaint from the victim. Karen A. Rendon, 23, was arrested on Tuesday, after Town of Poughkeepsie Police received notice from the victim that Rendon has come to her residence on Friday, June 22 while the order was in effect, said Capt. Kevin Faber. The investigating officer located Rendon on Tuesday and charged her with felony criminal contempt, he said. She was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash bond or $20,000 bond.

Newburgh Man Violates Order Of Protection, Police Say A Newburg man was charged with violating a protective order during a routine traffic stop by Ulster County deputies on Saturday. Dorean B. McKoy, 21, was charged with felony criminal contempt, driving with suspended registration, and other traffic violations after being stopped on Route 32 around 11:20 a.m. Saturday, the sheriff's department said.
