Resident Thwarts Burglary At Neighbor's Town Of Poughkeepsie Home A 55-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly being caught in the act of breaking into an occupied home while a neighbor witnessed the event. The attempted burglary was reported around 9:52 p.m., Sunday, July 21, at a home on Point Street in New Hamburg, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber.
