ID Released For 25-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Route 55 Crash A 25-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash Route 55 early Thursday morning. Kevin A. Sheehan of Poughkeepsie was killed when his 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle, being operated at a high rate of speed struck, a 2017 GMC Acadia around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Both vehicles were eastbound on Route 55 near Noxon Road when the crash occurred. Taconic State Parkway Lane Closures Scheduled There will be lane closures on the Taconic State Parkway as contracting crews perform maintenance work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that there will be single lane closures and traffic slowdowns on the parkway between exit 45 (Noxon Road) and Exit 47A (Route 55 East) in LaGrange. The closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 5, through Friday, Sept. 7.
