ID Released For Teen Swimmer Found Dead In Candlewood Lake The body of a teen who went missing while swimming in Candlewood Lake in New Milford has been recovered, according to New Milford Mayor Pete Bass. Joshua DaSilva, 17, of New Milford, who went missing while swimming with friends on Monday, May 27, was recovered by the New Milford Police Department and the Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue, said New Milford Police Lt. Massive Search For Teen Swimmer Who Went Missing In Candlewood Lake A massive search is continuing for a missing 17-year-old teen who went missing on Monday, May 27, while swimming with friends at Candlewood Lake in New Milford.
