Man Found Burning Near Busy Roadway In Fairfield County A man lying horizontally was found burning after police in Fairfield County responded to a call for a possible fire near a popular park. The incident took place in New Canaan around 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the area of Lapham Road near Waveny Park.  Preliminary evidence "does support that this incident is most likely a suicide," New Canaan Police said. Hudson Valley Woman Found Dead Under Vehicle In Fairfield County The identity has been released of a Westchester woman whose body was found under a vehicle at around noontime Tuesday in New Canaan, police said. The New Canaan Police, New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corp and New Canaan Fire Department were dispatched to a residence on South Bald Hill Road on a report of an individual that had been discovered pinned underneath a vehicle and not responsive.  Arriving first responders located the victim underneath the vehicle, and it was determined that the victim was dead and had been underneath the vehicle for an unknown length of time, police said.
