Police Release Details On Crash That Seriously Injured Area Woman
State Police have released new details on a crash in which a 70-year-old Northern Westchester woman was seriously injured and a dog killed.
Paulette L. Milligan, was driving a Chevy Aveo eastbound around 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, when she attempted to pass a 2017 Jeep Cherokee on Route 6 in Somers near Windsor Road, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks.
Milligan, of Somers, struck the Jeep, then moved back to the right, struck the guide rail, overturned, and came to rest on the opposite side of the guide rail in an earth embankment, Hicks said.

East Fishkill Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man died following a single-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester.
Dutchess County resident Gary Malstrom Sr., age 67, of East Fishkill, was killed around 6:40 p.m., Saturday, May 15 on the Bear Moutain Parkway in the town of Cortlandt, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
A preliminary investigation indicates Malstrom, who was driving a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on the parkway when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a guide rail, Hicks said.
