Poughkeepsie Woman Killed In Wrong -Way Driver Crash Identified A Hudson Valley woman killed when an SUV crossed the roadway into oncoming traffic has been identified by police. Dutchess County resident Li Hongling, age 50, of Poughkeepsie, was killed Sunday, Aug. 6, on Route 9W in Ulster County in the town of Highland. The collision occurred around 4:40 a.m. when a 21-year-old Poughkeepsie man was driving a 2008 Ford Explorer southbound on Route 9W when he crossed into the northbound lane striking a 2016 Chevy Cruze which was traveling northbound, said Lloyd Police Chief James Janso. One Hospitalized After Stabbing At Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a victim during a fight at a mall in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, at the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall, said the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. According to police, officers responded to the mall for a report of a fight in the mall with one person stabbed. When officers arrived, they found that a man had suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries during a physical assault. Woman, 43, Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree On Route 9W A 43-year-old woman was killed in a one-car crash on Route 9W after hitting a tree, police said. Jolene E. Jollie of Milton was traveling south around 5:30 p.m. Friday, on Route 9W when her car left the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso said. Jollie, who was the sole occupant in the car was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead, Janso said. Robert Benson, Tondra Lashae Walker, 19, of Poughkeepsie, was pronounced dead at the scene after being partially ejected from her vehicle during the crash that occurred around 8 a.m. Monday on South Quaker Lane and Dana Place in Hyde Park.
