ID Released For Victim Of Fatal July 4th Poughkeepsie Stabbing Update: The victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4 in the City of Poughkeepsie has been identified. Maurice Black, 25, a Poughkeepsie resident, was stabbed once in the chest at 6 Hoffman Ave., police said. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. A suspect, 30-year-old Michael R. Baker of Poughkeepsie, was taken into custody at the scene.
