Poughkeepsie Man Shot After Threatening Officers With Semi-Automatic Handgun, Police Say A man who pulled a Keltec 9mm semi-automatic handgun out of his pocket and threatened police was shot by an officer in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 7:50 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20 on Main St., in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Capt. Rich Wilson, of the city of Poughkeepsie Police, the department received a call regarding a man with a gun on Main Street.
