Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced on Tuesday, Nov. 9, Jamaad Murphy, age 27, of Wallkill, pled guilty to murder in the second degree in connection with the fatal shooting of a man outside of a Town of Wallkill nightclub in  November 2019. Alert Issued For Man Wanted For Murder In Area New York State Police investigators are attempting to locate a suspect implicated in the shooting death of a 23-year-old Hudson Valley man last year. State Police say that at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3 last year, Jamaad Murphy, 26, of Middletown, shot and killed Matthew Napoleoni, also of Middletown, outside of the Made in Puerto Rico Latin Cuisine and Sports Bar on Schutt Road Extension in Middletown. Wallkill Man Acquitted In Teen's Slaying An Orange County man has been cleared of all charges in connection to the 2015 fatal shooting of a teenager. A jury announced that Wallkill resident Jamaad Murphy, 26, was found not guilty of murder, manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon after two days of deliberation following a weeklong trial. On May 9, 2015, 16-year-old Terence West, Jr. was lured outside the Lake Street Apartments in Newburgh by a text message.
