Multiple people were arrested and dangerous drugs and an illegal gun were seized during a warrants sweep in the Hudson Valley. The sweeps took place in Dutchess County early on Tuesday, July 18 in the city and town of Poughkeepsie. An alleged Hudson Valley fentanyl and cocaine dealer is behind bars without bail following a search of his home. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Friday, April 14, in Pleasant Valley. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been actively investigating drug dealers selling fentanyl or any drugs mixed with fentanyl due to the significant amount of drug overdose deaths in Dutchess County, said Det. A racially-charged road-rage incident in Westchester led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man and the seizure of an illegal handgun after he allegedly shot it in the air while chasing down his victims, police said. Police in Westchester busted a group with illegal weapons after stabbing an Uber driver during a verbal dispute that turned physical, police said. More than a dozen pounds of marijuana and several illegal weapons were seized by Westchester County Police executing a search warrant at a Cortlandt grow house. County Police detectives launched an investigation into Thomas Corrigan, 53, earlier this year after receiving a tip regarding illegal activity at a residence in the Lake Allendale neighborhood of Cortlandt. A late night Valentine’s Day traffic stop led to multiple charges for a Hudson Valley man violating an Order of Protection while in possession of drugs and an illegal weapon in Yorktown.
