Man Injured After Being Hit In Head By Bat On Halloween In Poughkeepsie An area man was seriously injured after being hit in the head with a bat on Halloween. The incident took place around 8:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31 on Fountain Place, in Poughkeepsie, said the City of Poughkeepsie Poice. When police arrived on the scene of the attack, they found a man who had been struck in the head with a baseball bat, police said. Officers immediately rendered aid and secured the scene for Mobile Life.  The victim was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital and was admitted for treatment.  Crime Scene technicians responded to the scene to collect evidence. Police Ask Public's Help After Several Vehicles Damaged In Poughkeepsie City of Poughkeepsie police are asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible for damaging numerous vehicles in the city. Police said they began receiving calls around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday of reports of spray paint damage to several vehicles in the area of Worrall Avenue, Fountain Place, and Forbus Street, police said.  Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department's confidential Tip Line at (845) 451-7577.
