Following an uproar concerning a proposed battery storage facility in the Hudson Valley, town officials are considering a temporary moratorium that would allow more time for leaders to consider the plans and hear from the public. Hudson Valley Transfer Station Fire Under Investigation
An investigation is underway following a fire at a Hudson Valley transfer station. The blaze took place in Orange County around 9:20 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22 at the station located on Training Center Lane in New Hampton. When the Goshen Fire Department arrived on the scene they found an active fire in a large sorting facility, the department said. One man is dead and two pets perished after an explosion at a Hudson Valley home. First responders from multiple agencies in Dutchess County responded to a reported house explosion on Hoffman Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13 in Pine Plains. Person Injured After Being Trapped In Area House Fire
A man was hospitalized after becoming trapped in a quick-moving two-alarm house fire following his rescue by first responders in the area. Fire crews from multiple departments were dispatched to the Orange County home, located in Monroe, on Merriewold Lane, at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday, July 12, where there were reports of a person trapped inside the residence after the blaze broke out.
