Former Area Priest Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Minor A former Fairfield County priest remains behind bars after turning himself in to police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor. The Rev. Jaime Marin-Cardona, 51, has been charged with three counts of illegal sexual contact, three counts of sexual assault and of risk of injury to a child, said the Diocese of Bridgeport. According to the diocese, Marin-Cardona was removed from ministry in September 2019, after the diocese received a letter from the minor's parents voicing concerns about his contact with a family member.
