Man Nabbed After Hit-Run Involving School Bus In Hudson Valley Thanks to newly installed surveillance cameras, authorities were able to catch a 48-year-old driver who struck a school bus in the Hudson Valley and left the scene.  The incident that prompted the search for the driver happened in Putnam County on Friday, April 26, when a Dodge pickup truck struck a school bus's extended stop sign on Shear Hill Road in Mahopac, according to Carmel Police.  According to authorities, the collision occurred while the bus was picking up a student on its morning route. 3 Hospitalized After Car Strikes Pole In Mahopac Three people were taken to a hospital following an early morning crash in the Hudson Valley.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Feb. 3 just before 4:30 a.m., when a car crashed into a pole on Croton Falls Road in Mahopac near the Westchester border, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Three people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be evaluated, firefighters said. The cause of the crash was not released.

Fallen Wires Cause Brush Fire In Hudson Valley A brush fire caused by fallen power lines shuttered a road in the Hudson Valley until crews could put it out.  The incident happened on Friday, Feb. 3, around 11 a.m. when firefighters and police in Putnam County responded to a fire in Mahopac located in the area of Croton Falls Road and Cole Drive.  There, first responders found fallen power lines and a brush fire. Two Hospitalized After Head-On Mahopac Crash Two drivers were injured in Putnam County after one crossed over into the opposite lane and struck the other head-on.
