Man Accused Of Threatening To Blow Up Building In Area, Police Say
An area man who was mad at his social service caseworker allegedly threatened to blow up a building. Ulster County resident Evan Carlaw, age 47, of Kingston, was arrested on Friday, March 4, and charged with making a terroristic threat and aggravated harassment. Deputies arrested Carlaw after he became upset while speaking with a social service caseworker over the phone and then made threats to blow up the building, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said. Carlaw was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

Surgeon Accused Of Having Illegal Weapons Cache In Area Back In Court
The Manhattan surgeon from Long Island who was arrested with a cache of weapons in his BMW after allegedly threatening his estranged wife and family in Westchester reportedly is out of jail and seeking to have his ankle monitor removed. Great Neck resident Matthew Bonanno, 47, was arraigned on a 53-count indictment for criminal possession of weapons found in Tuckahoe in August. Two weeks ago, after appealing to have his bail reduced to $70,000, he was released, though he has found his freedom uncomfortable.
