Construction Worker Seriously Injured After 20-Foot Fall In Highland Falls A construction worker was seriously injured after falling from a second-floor roof to the first floor.  The incident took place in Orange County around 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 25 in the town of Highland Falls on Owens Farm Road. According to the Highland Falls Police Chief Frank Basile, a construction worker was working on a second-floor roof when he fell 20 to 30 feet to the first-floor roof area. Worker Seriously Injured In Construction Accident A 30-year-old man was seriously injured during a reported construction accident. The victim, Ricardo Martinez, 30, of Monroe, was found injured around 11:06 a.m., Monday, March 16, when New York State Police responded to Zupnick Drive in Kiryas Joel, for a reported construction accident, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Troopers found Martinez unconscious with an apparent head injury.
