The incident occurred in Rockland County around 8:50 a.m., Friday, May 24, on South John Street in Pearl River. According to Lt. Michael Boysa of the Orangetown Police, a 10-year-old boy was in his driveway when a blue sedan pulled up in front of his home. Scammer Posing As Priest, Soliciting Gift Cards From Victims In Hudson Valley: Police Authorities in the Hudson Valley are continuing to warn residents of a scammer who has been posing as a local priest to convince victims to purchase gift cards for them.  The warning was issued on Wednesday, Jan. 10 by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, which said the scammer is continuing to "exploit the generosity of our community."  According to the Sheriff's Office, the scammer has been posing as a local priest over phone calls to solicit gift cards from victims. Man Attempted To Lure Young Women Into His Car In Hudson Valley, Police Say A suspect is at large after attempting to lure high school girls into his car in Westchester, police said. In Ardsley, police issued an alert to the community advising that an unknown man made multiple attempts at luring high school-aged females to his car while asking for directions.  The incidents happened at approximately 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, according to Ardsley PD investigators.
