Poughkeepsie City Hall Reopens Wednesday After Early Closure Residents with business at Poughkeepsie City Hall had to wait until after 10 a.m. Wednesday due to a late opening after the building experienced heating problems causing officials to shut down early Tuesday. Because of the freezing temperatures, City Hall closed at 2 p.m., Tuesday to give public works employees a chance to work on a malfunctioning boiler, city officials said.
