Worker Seriously Injured After Falling From Roof In Poughkeepsie A 25-year-old man performing construction work on a home was seriously injured after falling from a roof. The accident took place around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 132 Kensington Lane in Poughkeepsie, said Arlington Fire District Deputy Chief Bill Steenbergh. When Arlington firefighters and EMTs arrived on the scene they found the injured man on the frozen ground in "quite a bit of pain," said Steenbergh.  Responding crews immediately worked to stabilize the man until a Mobil Life helicopter could arrive at the scene.
