Serino Defeats Gipson To Win Second Term In 41st Senate District

Sen. Sue Serino (R-Hyde Park) has been elected to a second term as senator in the 41st Senate District.

Serino defeated Gispon 68,354 votes to 53,920 votes, according to unofficial returns from the Putnam and Dutchess County Board of Elections. In Putnam County, she won 8,555 votes to 6,927 votes while in Dutchess, she won 59,799 votes to 46,993 votes.

Serino was first elected in 2014, defeating Gipson, who was the incumbent.
