As of Wednesday afternoon, Faso, who represents the 19th District, which includes a part of Dutchess, remains undecided on whether he will vote for the American Health Care Act.
Nineteen Republicans have already said they will not vote for the bill and Republicans can only afford 23 defections. Like Faso, 27 other Republicans are undecided or unclear about how they will vote according to the New York Times Whip Count.
The first attempt to overhaul the Affordable Care Act was pulled because there were not enough votes to pass it.
The 19th district includes Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Ostego, Schoharie, Sullivan and Ulster counties and parts of Broome, Dutchess, Montgomery and Rensselaer counties.
