The ban refers to the pre-screening question from employers asking if a job applicant has a criminal history, was ever dishonorably discharged from the military or was fired, said Time Warner Cable News.
Molinaro said that employers are asked to consider applicants based on their character, experience and abilities and the initiative is designed to assist minorities and low income families, Time Warner Cable News reported.
The initiative goes into effect Feb. 1.
