Rachel J. Sime was arrested Saturday, March 19, and charged with felony first-degree promoting prison contraband along with misdemeanor seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, police said.

She's being held on $2,500 cash bail, or $5,000 bond, in the Dutchess County Jail, police said, in anticipation of a 10 a.m. March 23 court date in the Town of Fishkill Court.

State police, assisted by the state corrections department and the K-9 unit, said she was carrying "numerous" prescription pills when she went to the jail to visit an inmate.
