A 36-year-old man wanted for an alleged burglary at an area restaurant was nabbed by police after a lengthy search.

Jonathan Gardineer of the Town of Poughkeepsie was arrested in LaGrange on Monday, Oct. 22, for a burglary that took place Feb. 15 at Gibson's Bar & Restaurant on Vassar Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber.

A follow-up investigation led detectives to Gardineer, but police were not able to locate him until months later at a home in the Town of LaGrange, he said.

Following his arrest, police learned that he had been living and working out of state for some time.

Gardineer was charged with burglary. He is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond.
