Joshua Jamel Dejesus,  25, was charged Thursday, Jan. 26, in connection with the three Dutchess County bank robberies as part of a plea deal for his involvement in the robbery of the Hudson Heritage Federal Credit Union Bank in Newburgh on Aug. 24, 2015, said Lt. Robert Benson.

Dejesus was charged by the Town of Hyde Park Police for a robbery at the TD Bank located at 4240 Albany Post Road, on June 5, 2015, Benson said.

He was also charged by The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department for a robbery at the TD Bank located in the Hudson Plaza on State Route 9, on April 24, 2015, and by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office for a robbery at the Key Bank in the Village of Fishkill, on May 7, 2015, police said.

Dejesus was brought to the Town of Hyde Park Court where he was arraigned on all three felony robbery charges. He is being held at the Orange County Jail on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond for each count.

Dejesus was caught due to a multi-agency information sharing initiative between the following law enforcement agencies: Cities of Newburgh and Beacon, Towns of Hyde Park and Fishkill, the Town and City of Poughkeepsie, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit, members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the District Attorney’s offices in Orange and Dutchess counties, Benson said.
