An investigation in conjunction with state police in Latham revealed that Michael P. Razzano of Watervliet had sent child porn to a complainant whom he had met on a dating website, police said.

Razzano was taken into custody after a tip was received that he was in possession of videos containing child porn and these videos were located at his residence.

Razzano was charged on Friday with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a Class D felony.

Razzano was arraigned at the Town of Wappinger Justice Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

If waived, Razzano is scheduled for appearance at the Town of Wappinger Justice Court on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
