Constance F. McGill-Boyrie, 47, has been charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree welfare fraud, both felonies, the sheriff said.

McGill-Boyrie, who was arrested on Wednesday was investigated by the Sheriff’s Office’s Detective Division which was assisted by the Special Investigations Unit of the Dutchess County Community and Family Services Department.

Police said the probe revealed that McGill-Boyrie took $18,594 in Medicare and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits from 2011 to 2014.

The larceny and fraud charges stem from McGill-Boyrie’s concealing the fact that she had other income coming into her household, police said.

She was arraigned in City of Poughkeepsie Court, released, and is to appear in court on a future date.
