A Poughkeepsie woman faces shoplifting charges after police said she stole nearly $600 worth of merchandise from a Walmart store in Ulster.

She was ticketed for the misdemeanor offense, released, and ordered to appear in Ulster Town Court on Feb. 17, police said.
