The New York State Police Community Narcotics Team was joined by members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit and Special Operations Response team on Friday following a lengthy investigation that led to the execution of a search warrant at a Noxon Street apartment on Friday morning.
The warrant led to the arrest of 28-year-old Marvin Hill, a convicted felony currently on parole, who was found in possession of fentanyl and cocaine, as well as various drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged with criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.
While executing the search warrant, police also arrested 21-year-old Sandy Cause, who was in possession of heroin and crack cocaine. He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both men were arraigned, with Hill being remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail and Cause being issued an appearance ticket to appear in the City of Poughkeepsie Court later this year.
