Poughkeepsie Man Charged With Possession Of Stolen License Plates

WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man faces charges of possessing stolen license plates, state police said.

Jebediah D. Deangelis, 25, of Poughkeepsie faces charges of possession of stolen license plates after he was arrested in Wappinger, state police said.

Jebediah D. Deangelis, 25, was pulled over by troopers in the area of Jackson Road and New Hackensack Road in Wappinger on Monday after he failed to stay in his lane, police said.

Deanangelis was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor; driving with a suspended license, and driving an unregistered vehicle with switched license plates, police said.

Police said that an investigation found that the plates were stolen.

Deangelis was ticketed and is to appear in the Wappinger Town Court on Wednesday, police said.
