Poughkeepsie Man Charged With Burglarizing Wappinger Home Twice

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y – A convict was transported to Wappinger Court from Downstate Correctional Facility on unrelated charges he burglarized a Wappinger home on two separate occasions, according to New York State Police.

Troopers recently investigated a burglary at a Wappinger home after the resident told police her vacant house was robbed just weeks apart in August and September. Reported missing were mopeds, tools, copper piping and a television, police said.

Following a police investigation, a warrant was issued in December ordering the arrest of Poughkeepsie resident Steven J. Finney, 34. He was found by police Jan. 7, charged with burglary and returned to Downstate Correctional Facility to continue serving unrelated charges, police said..
