Man Faces Drug Charges After Fishkill Stop For Tinted Windows

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- A Newburgh man faces multiple drug charges after state troopers stopped him on Route 52 in Fishkill, police said.

Shawn Albright, 39, was pulled over for a window-tint violation on Friday, Jan. 8, police said.

The arresting officer reported smelling marijuana coming from Albright’s vehicle and conducted a search which turned up Xanax, Oxycodone, Viagra, and pot, police said.

Albright now faces charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Albright was arraigned in Town of LaGrange Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail, police said.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Fishkill Court on Wednesday, Jan. 13, police said.
