David Trotta, 21, who attacked the two other corrections officers on Thursday, Dec. 8, is accused of attacking another guard on Wednesday, Jan. 18, said Capt. John Watterson.

"We are currently investigating the incident, he hasn't been charged with the second attack at this time," said Watterson.

Trotta, who has been in jail since October on unrelated charges, is facing two counts of felony second-degree assault for the December attack, Watterson said.

"If we find cause through the investigation, we will arrest him for the latest case," he added.

Trotta is due to appear in court on March 23 in relation to the Dec. 8 charges.
