The victim, Jabari Hylton, 22, was a passenger in the car and died later at a hospital from his injuries, Solomon said.
The accident occurred around 1 a.m. on Washington Avenue and Stone Street, he added.
The driver, a Beacon resident, was not injured. Police said they don't believe drugs or alcohol were the cause of the crash, but said the crash is still under investigation
