BEACON, N.Y. -- William A. Chinnis Jr., a resident of Beacon, died Friday, Jan. 29. He was 51.
Chinnis was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Rawlins Chinnis; four children, William Chinnis II of Newburgh, Shari Chinnis of Newburgh, BriAnne Monaco of Beacon and Anthony Chinnis of Donora, Pa.; two stepchildren Shamika Rawlins and Rufus Young; his mother, Marilyn Lunsford of Beacon; his brothers and sisters, Curtis Lunsford of Beacon, Kelly Smith of Beacon, Sherry Lunsford of Virginia, Tammy Mceleven of Poughkeepsie, Marsha Lebron of Wappingers Falls and Anthony Chinnis of the Bronx; three grandchildren, Ja-Ceir Chinnis, Nyasia Chinnis and Raziyah Bailey; a very close cousin, Jack Lunsford; his uncle, Samuel Lunsford; his aunt Mary McNair; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, William A. Chinnis Sr.
Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Libby Funeral Home Inc., 55 Teller Ave., Beacon, where at 1 p.m. services will take place. Pastor Michael Bell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
