POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Susan E. Burgin, of Poughkeepsie, died on Saturday, Jan. 16, at her home. She was 53.
Burgin was born in Mount Vernon on April 21, 1962, to Roy Matthews and Elaine Caputo Wheeler, graduating from Arlington High School.
She worked as a file room manager for DRA Imaging in Poughkeepsie for 18 years before retiring in 2014.
Burgin is survived by her mother; her husband Bob; two brothers, John and his wife, Karen Matthews of Kingston, and Adam and Jody Matthews of Corinth; sister Lydia and her husband, William Leete of Elizaville, her father's companion, Margaret Isidori of Yonkers, and stepbrother Roy of Yonkers.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., at 371 Hooker Ave. in Poughkeepsie, with a funeral service at 8 p.m.
Interment will be private.
