Lillian Clair Hutchinson, 87, Of Hopewell Junction

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Lillian Clair Hutchinson, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1977 and formerly of Yonkers and the Bronx, died Saturday, Jan. 2. She was 87.

She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Manhattan, the daughter of Edgar and Anna Helick Wurch. 

She was the co-owner of the family business, Hutchinson’s Equipment and Crown L.P. Gas, until retiring in 2002. 

She was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction. 

On Aug. 31, 1947, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, she married Edward William Hutchinson, who survives at home. 

She also is survived by her children and their spouses Nannette and Russ O’Malley of Fishkill, Patricia and Tony Coletti of Pine Plains, Edward and Elaine Hutchinson of Pine Plains; grandchildren, Jennifer and Shea Gallante of Ardsley, Megan and Philip Goodwin of Rhinebeck, Anthony and Elizabeth Coletti of Staatsburg, Erik and Michelle Hutchinson of Red Hook and Vanessa Coletti of Pine Plains; great-grandchildren, Braedon, Kaeden, Mia, Anna, Liam, Riley, Ella, Ava, Colton and Giana; siblings, Annette and Robert Hayward, Walter and Pat Wurch and John and Kathy Wurch; sister-in-law, Francie Wurch; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her brother, Edgar Wurch and her sister, Marion Reiser. 

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
